Man falls from moving boat into Mary River

Paramedics were called to the scene where a man fell off the side of a moving boat in the Fraser Coast region.

A man was taken to hospital after falling from a moving boat in the Mary River on Wednesday evening.

The man, aged in his 40s, was said to be on his boat in the river, near O’Brien and Banana Streets in Granville.

Medical officers said he was in the river near O’Brien Street in Granville.

The man then fell overboard about 8.47pm.

Paramedics attended the scene where the man was transported to Maryborough Hospital.

He was released in the early hours of Thursday morning after being treated for conditions consistent with hypothermia.
