Emergency crews called to aircraft incident in Urangan

Fire crews and paramedics have responded to reports of a light plane emergency at Hervey Bay Airport. UPDATES.

Emergency crews have rushed to Hervey Bay Airport on Friday morning.

It’s understood the pilot of a light plane raised the alarm after the front landing gear failed to lock in.

Fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

The plane managed to land safely about 6.59am at the airport at Don Adams Drive in Urangan.

Paramedics assessed one uninjured patient.
