Fire crews have rushed to extinguish a devastating blaze on a boat on the Mary River in Maryborough on Friday afternoon.
A boat situated near the corner of Ann and Norway Streets drew onlookers as huge plumes of smoke drifted up into the sky.
The fire started just before 3pm and fire crews attempted to access the blaze, according to a QFES spokesperson.
A small boat with a hose was dispatched in an effort to tame the flames.

The fire quickly spread making what appeared to be a single hull boat almost unidentifiable.
