Union boss tells inquiry she feared for her life over alleged CFMEU threat
A Queensland union boss says she was a given a message by the CFMEU to keep her head down, or it would be ‘knocked off’, leaving her in fear for her life.
Australian Workers Union state secretary Stacey Schinnerl has told the inquiry into the CFMEU that she believed her life was in danger after a message from CFMEU members.
It came amid testimony of escalating tensions between the CFMEU and the AWU at a Brisbane Cross River Rail site.
Ms Schinnerl said an AWU delegate had been given a message to pass on to her personally.
“If I stick my head up, it will be knocked off”.
