AWU leader Stacey Schinnerl fears CFMEU could ‘pervert’ processes in lead-up to Olympics

A senior public servant resigned shortly after a meeting with the CFMEU, with the militant union’s boss claiming responsibility, the inquiry has heard.

Australian Workers’ Union boss Stacey Schinnerl has revealed the director general of the Department of Transport and Main Roads resigned shortly after a meeting with the CFMEU to discuss BPIC.

Ms Schinnerl said she was told on a number of occasions that the union’s state secretary Michael Ravbar claimed responsibility.
