Police allege two juveniles broke into a Dalby business over the weekend, smashing windows and causing the ceiling to collapse during the brazen break and enter.

Police have alleged that two juveniles were responsible for breaking into a business by smashing the windows before causing the ceiling to collapse and taking off with a bag of goods.
Dalby Police Officer in Charge Senior Sergeant Terry McCullough said at 4am on Saturday a juvenile allegedly used a rock to smash the glass of the Stop n Shop’s store front located on New St in the Western Downs town.
He said the alleged offender removed shards of glass before climbing through the window into the store.
It’s further alleged the juvenile removed the security cameras from the roof which caused the ceiling to collapse, before going behind the counter and placing items into a bag.
A second suspect was alleged to be involved, who stood at the front of the store.
Sergeant McCullough said police arrested the first alleged offender who was standing at the front of the store while the other juvenile hid inside before climbing out of a back window.
Since the incident, the offender was found and arrested and both will be dealt with by way of restorative justice process.
All stolen items were given back to the business owner.
