A Western Downs FIFO worker charged with 29 offences, including several historical child sex abuse offences, has appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his alleged victims, appeared on June 1.
He is charged with two counts of rape, 15 counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12, three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12 (procure to commit), three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16, one count of indecent treatment of a child under 12 (indecent film etc), one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16 (indecent film etc), and four counts of disabling in order to commit an indictable offence.
Defence solicitor Andrew Hanlon, of Potts Lawyers, asked the court to vary his client’s bail.
The FIFO worker appeared in court on May 6, where his bail was changed to allow him to report to police while working interstate.
Mr Hanlon asked Magistrate Tracy Mossop if one reporting condition could be removed from his bail, as well as adding an additional address outside of Queensland to coincide with a new job.
Police prosecutor Derek Brady said he wasn’t opposed to the variation and it was granted by magistrate Tracy Mossop.
The matter was adjourned to July 6.
