Three Dalby men charged with gun and drugs offences after firearm was stolen

Three Dalby men have been hit with a slew of charges after a raid on a property allegedly uncovered a firearm, weapons parts, 30kg of ammunition, and drugs.

Three Dalby men have been charged with a range of offences after a firearm was recovered after it was stolen from a Captains Mountain property.

Police executed a search warrant at a Swan St address in Dalby on January 31, allegedly locating a .22 calibre firearm stolen from a property on the Gore Highway between December 9 and December 16, 2024.

Police also allegedly seized weapon parts, 30kg of ammunition, and drugs.

A 52-year-old Dalby man has been charged with eight offences including one count each of unlawful possession of category H weapon, possess tainted property, possess tainted property (Firearm), possess ammunition, possess thing used in commission of the offence, possess dug, possess utensil, and enter dwelling to commit.

A 33-year-old Dalby man has been charged with five offences including one count each of possession of a weapon, possess dangerous drug, possess utensil, possess thing used in commission of the offence and obstruct police.

A 24-year-old Dalby man has been charged with seven offences including one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possess tainted property, authority to possess explosives, possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, wilful damage and two counts of possess utensils or pipes that had been used.

All three men were taken into police custody, before being released on bail.

The 33-year-old man will face the Dalby Magistrates Court on March 11, while the 52-year-old man and 24-year-old man are due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on March 18.
