Fun in the sun launches new community hall
A NEW family friendly space will be available to community groups after the opening of the new Kath Dickson Family Centre Community Hall.

SMILES and laughter at the opening of the Kath Dickson Family Centre Community Hall on Saturday set the tone for an exciting future ahead.
Families were invited for an afternoon of fun in the sun to launch the new family friendly space and officially welcome the community to the facility.
Located next to the kindergarten, on the corner of Owen and Bunya Streets, the hall will be available for use by community organisations and will be the new home for a Kath Dickson playgroup and toy library.
Kath Dickson Family Centre Chief Executive Ken Murphy said he was glad to see the hall given back to the Dalby community.
"After many years of being locked away from the community, opening the hall for use by the multiple local groups, organisations and businesses is a great achievement,” he said.
Formerly known as the Snow White Kindergarten, Mr Murphy also announced its new branding as the Kath Dickson Kindergarten Dalby South.
"Whilst the day-to-day operations will remain the same, the new branding signifies our strong commitment and pride to be part of the Dalby community,” he said.
"We are proud to put our name up and be part of the Dalby community.”
Western Downs Councillor Donna Ashurst said it was great to see the Kath Dickson Family Centre being proactive and sharing their space with the community.
"Community organisations are the backbone of community in our region and it's great to see this organisation is providing facilities and new opportunities to the rest of our community,” she said.
"The project will enhance the opportunities and improve the lifestyle for local families in the community along with providing a wonderful new facility to be utilised by everybody.”
