Emergency services respond to cattle truck rollover on Warrego Highway near Chinchilla

Firies are on the scene of a cattle truck that has rolled on a busy Western Downs highway this afternoon, with emergency services using cutting equipment to help free trapped cattle.

Emergency services are on the scene after a cattle truck reportedly rolled onto its side on a Western Downs highway Monday afternoon.

A Queensland and Fire Emergency Services spokesperson said their crew arrived at the scene just after 3pm, where the B-double with two trailers was on its side near Chinchilla.

The spokesperson said firies were using cutting equipment to free the trapped animals inside the trailer, however it’s believed some of the cattle has died.

Paramedics are still rushing to the scene, however all occupants have been accounted for.
