A young Tara woman has been remembered as an “amazing person” after she tragically lost her life in a head-on collision in Bowenville.

Crystal Coffee, 24, was travelling along the Warrego Highway on Friday evening when she was involved in a two vehicle crash with a Toyota LandCruiser at 4.56pm.

Several bystanders leapt from their cars to render assistance and conducted CPR on the young woman for half an hour until emergency services arrived.

Ms Coffee was unfortunately declared deceased at the scene.

Her family and friends have taken to social media to remember the childcare worker who was taken from their lives too soon.

A friend commented that it was “heartbreaking news” to hear that the “beautiful young loving woman” had passed away.

“You will be missed by so many and by my family, love you always,” a woman wrote.

“Fly high with the angels.”

“A beautiful young woman gone way too soon xo,” another said.

“R.I.P. Crystal such an amazing person taken way too early … my heart goes out to [your] family and friends,” another woman wrote.

A 39-year-old East Toowoomba woman, two primary school aged children and a toddler were transported to Toowoomba Hospital in stable conditions with minor injuries after the crash.

The Warrego Highway was closed in both directions for several hours while the Forensic Crash Unit investigated.

This crash was part of a horror weekend Queensland roads, after a 17-year-old boy died in a motorcycle and vehicle collision in Noosa on Saturday night.

A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man also died in smash in Clontarf, north of Brisbane, late Friday evening, while a 54-year-old woman also passed away in a crash in the Bundaberg region Friday afternoon.
