See our full list of events below.

Footy fundraiser

Dalby’s junior footy club will be raising money for a great cause that’s close to their hearts this weekend as they raise funds for the R U OK? Foundation.

Last year the club raised $10,000 for the Carl Webb Foundation, with former captain of the under-17s side Hayden Taylor saying choosing the foundation was a “no-brainer” for the players.

“Carl’s inspired all of us with the way he’s approached (motor neurone disease),” Mr Taylor said.

This year the under-17s players chose the mental health foundation, following a suicide cluster that shocked the town at the beginning of the year.

A spokesman for the club said it was a very timely decision to raise funds for the foundation as players wanted to show their support in some way to the families and friends that had been impacted.

The Dalby Devils will kick off from 8am at the Dalby Rugby League Club Saturday June 10, and play right through until 5pm.

Attendees will have the chance to donate money through the bake sale at the club and during a jersey auction in the afternoon.

On Friday June 9, the club’s under-17s boys and girls Calcutta also gives residents the opportunity to place their bets on which player will score the first try for their games on Saturday, with all money from the bets going towards R U OK? Foundation
