OUR community spirit across the Maranoa has still been going strong as we all come to face the challenges of COVID-19.
Only yesterday on August 22, the State Government introduced new restrictions in light of an outbreak at a youth detention centre in Southeast Queensland.
The Western Star took to the streets of Roma to see what people thought about the current situation.
"What do you think about the current coronavirus situation?"
Helen, Roma: "I think it's hugely disappointing to the state with all the hard work that's been put in for it and hopefully we won't see a high number."
Kylie, Roma: "We all need to adhere to the social distancing otherwise we'll all get coronavirus.
Mick, Caloundra: "I think it's ever changing so we have to adapt, and I'm happy to accept what the latest is.
"I think we have no choice."
Jayson, Roma: "I think we should do everything we can to do as much as possible not to have the coronavirus here in Roma.
"We can sacrifice a little bit."
Amanda, Roma: "If we gotta do it, we gotta do it.
"There's not much we can do about it."
