BANGALOW firm Dominic Finlay-Jones Architects won three awards at the Australian Institute of Architects' annual NSW Country Division Awards for the $6 million upgrade of Lismore City Hall.

The upgrade of the building, which was built in 1965, was completed in June last year after a little over six months of work and had been in the pipeline since about 2005.

The facelift included the complete rebuilding of the foyer and bar area to include outdoor verandahs and a much larger entry space for patrons as well as new stage and lighting facilities and important works to repair and stabilise the city hall's foundations.
