A Mundubbera toddler has been flown to the Bundaberg Hospital after a snake bite.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ rescue helicopter landed in the North Burnett after being called about 8am today.

“Her mother was alerted after hearing the girl scream in the backyard,” a spokesman said.

“She noticed a puncture wound on the girl’s left foot.”

She was taken to the Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

It was reported her father accompanied her via helicopter.

The news comes following a string of reported snakebites across the region and the state.
