Man, woman in horror quad bike plunge into creek

A woman in her 60s has suffered head, spinal and abdominal injuries after a quad bike went about two metres down an embankment into a creek bed.

A woman in her 60s has suffered head, spinal and abdominal injuries after a quad bike went about two metres down an embankment into a creek bed.

Queensland Ambulance Service said the woman, and another man, had to be flown to hospital after they were initially treated by paramedics at the private property at Woolooga in the Gympie region.

A man in his 50s suffered head and chest injuries in the 5.30pm crash on Sunday.

The woman was taken by helicopter in a serious condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, while the man was flown in a serious condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

At Kinkuna, between Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, a teenage boy suffered chest, back and abdominal injuries after being hit by a car on Kinkuna Bay Fire Break about 5.37pm.

He was flown by helicopter to the Bundaberg Hospital in a serious condition.

At Biloela, a man in his 20s suffered a head injury after a crash on Tarramba Street at 6pm.
