A toddler who was flown to Bundaberg Hospital over the weekend after a near-drowning incident in Baffle Creek has recovered.
A Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman confirmed the toddler had been discharged as of Tuesday morning.
The toddler was airlifted to Bundaberg hospital in a critical condition after a near-drowning incident in Baffle Creek on Sunday afternoon, December 29.
A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokeswoman confirmed they received a call about 1.40pm reporting the incident, which occurred near Coast Rd.
Coast Rd runs alongside the Baffle Creek river.
The child, believed to be a girl, was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition.
The QAS spokeswoman described her injuries as “life-threatening” at the time, but said she appeared to be conscious.
