It first opened its doors late last year and now a popular Childers business is revamping its store and holding an event to celebrate.
After years of collecting vintage dolls, wind-up toys and retro games Josie Rigney decided to open up Clockwork Curiosities – a store that oozes nostalgia and sells iconic toys from the 50s to 90s.
Now the Childers store is undergoing a transformation with the sweet addition of a lolly and fudge bar.
“We are moving some of the cabinets further down the museum so we can open up the gift shop part at the front of the building,” Ms Rigney said.
“More shelving (will be added) for giftware and new stock lines including retro and pop-culture themed products and there will be a dedicated space for a lolly bar.”
To celebrate the gift shop revamp the business is holding a special event this weekend, to showcase its new look with fudge tastings and giveaways up for grabs.
“On Saturday we will have a lucky door prize of a $50 gift voucher, some giveaways with purchases and nibbles and drinks too,” Ms Rigney said.
“We will also have some of our gorgeous fudge done up as samples for people to try.”
The event will be on Saturday, May 1 from 9am to 3pm.
It will be held inside the Clockwork Curiosities store at 54A Churchill St, Childers.
