Childers Road rollover: Woman fights for life after serious crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 70s suffered life-threatening injuries when a car rolled at an intersection at North Isis.

Queensland Police calling for witnesses a serious crash at Childers after two elderly people were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services attended the crash at Childers Rod, near the intersection of Swantons Rd, in North Isis about 2.20pm on Wednesday, July 30, following reports a white Renault Kangoo van had rolled.

The driver, a 76-year-old Childers man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The passenger, a 70-year-old Childers woman, was transported via helicopter to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Any witnesses or someone who has dashcam vision, should contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
