Harvester bursts into flames on Bundaberg’s outskirts

Firefighters have rushed to a property about 12km northwest of Bundaberg after a harvester went up in flames.

A regional farmer has had a lucky escape after their harvester burst into flames at Welcome Creek, northwest of Bundaberg.

Firefighting crews rushed to the scene of the blaze, near the intersection of Booyan Rd and Vecellios Rd, shortly after 11.30am Monday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said fireys arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

They were finally able to extinguish the blaze about 12.20pm, and the burning wreckage did not spark any further grassfires.

There have been no reports of any injuries in the incident.
