Harley Trindall stable after near-fatal motorbike crash

A 35-year-old Bundaberg man has clung to life since a horror accident left him with severe head injuries. Read the latest on his battle, and some of the powerful messages of love and support from the community and those who love him.

Kalkie man Harley Trindall was riding a Kawasaki ER-6N motorbike on Thursday night, March 13, when he was involved in an accident with another vehicle near Bundaberg and suffered critical injuries.

The 35-year-old was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for emergency surgery for bleeding on the brain, and it was touch and go as he remained in a coma and his loved ones hoped and prayed he would pull through.

On Monday, a Metro North Health Service spokesman said Mr Trindall was in a stable condition.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Bundaberg Ring Road and Telegraph Road just before 7pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Ranger, a 28-year-old Kalkie man, suffered no physical injuries and refused to be assessed at the scene, QAS said.

 There has been an outpouring of support, love and well wishes on social media for Mr Trindall.
