A Bundaberg physiotherapy centre will soon be expanding its services if a development application is approved by council.
A material change of use application was recently lodged with Bundaberg Regional Council on behalf of Bundaberg Physiotherapy Centre and Sports Injury Clinic.
The application proposes expanding the clinic’s existing facility on Crofton St.
The expansion would allow for another therapist at the centre.
“The proposal allows for one additional therapist and provides a mix of rooms tailored for differing treatment options,” the application says.
“The additional rooms provide for a varied and specialised range of injury treatments.
“This means the additional rooms provide operational efficiencies rather than appreciably increasing demand.”
The expansion would add four new consult rooms and would also include a new access ramp on the outside at the entry.
Concept designs for the clinic show that, once complete, the facility as a whole would include a total of 14 consult rooms and a waiting room, with the existing open plan treatment space at the rear of the building.
The designs also include a new look for the building’s facade.
“The proposed development merely seeks to increase the development footprint by 102.2m2 and the site is already connected to all reticulated services and developed for community uses,” the document says.
