Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash near Childers on Thursday night.

The three-vehicle crash closed Childers Rd at Elliott, near Childers, about 20km outside Bundaberg, on Thursday.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service said multiple emergency service crews were at the scene of the crash, which happened about 8.30pm.

A man and woman were taken in a stable condition to Bundaberg Hospital with neck injuries.

An elderly man was also transported to Bundaberg Hospital with head and chest injuries in a stable condition.

It comes after a serious crash involving a car and a truck closed the Bruce Highway at Aldershot.

The truck erupted into flames as a result of the crash, with four people being taken to hospital.
