A senior project manager at Bundaberg Regional Council has resigned, in an unexpected development raising further concerns about construction of the $76 million Aquatic Centre.

An anonymous source confirmed Adam Wyatt, long-term council employee and manager of major projects, had tendered his resignation effective August 11, 2023.

Mr Wyatt has most recently been overseeing the Bundaberg Aquatic Centre project, being mentioned in council minutes as giving an update on the project to the Audit and Risk Committee in February 2023.
