On Monday morning, December 6, The Bundaberg NewsMail will begin the annual rollout of this region’s 40 Most Influential of 2021.

Time Magazine revealed its 100 Most Influential people of 2021 recently and it did not disappoint.

Among the names were icons, pioneers in their fields, titans of industry, artists, leaders and innovators.

On Monday morning, December 6, The Bundaberg NewsMail will begin the rollout of this region’s 40 Most Influential of 2021. While their names and accomplishments may not echo through the halls of history or cross international borders, their influence in this region and on behalf of this region in this most unusual year has been significant.

With the help of some trusted community members, our team has combed through the many, many names on a masterlist of the region’s outstanding, powerful and influential people, whittled those names down to 40, and ranked them according to breadth and depth of influence and power.

Come Monday, it will be your turn to read, argue, ponder and agree or disagree.
