A new block of units will give Bundaberg residents more living options after the development was given the go ahead by Bundaberg Regional Council.
The council approved a material change of use application for the site, lodged on behalf of T and J Builders in September.
According to concept designs, the new unit block, to be built on Barolin St, would be two storeys with four units on the top level and another four on the bottom.
Two of the units, one on the top floor and one on the bottom, will also include a study as well as the planned single bedroom.
Each unit will have one bedroom, as well as a covered alfresco area and the site will be fully fenced.
There will also be a covered eight-car parking space for residents as well as four guest parking spots.
The site is close in proximity to the Hinkler Central shopping centre and Olsen’s Corner.
The units will also be close to the heart of the CBD with a medical centre also close by.
“The proposed development appropriately increases the number of persons living in the area with access to schools and services,” the proposal said.
