9 kids treated after bus, tractor crash in South Isis
Emergency services have rushed to a busy road near Childers where nine children and one adult have been treated at the scene following a school bus and tractor collision.

Nine children and one adult have been treated at the scene after a bus and tractor collision at South Isis.
The crash occurred on the corner of Cooks and Gelsominos Roads six kilometres southeast of Childers at 8.03am.
Following assessment by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics, all children are in a stable condition.
The children have been handed over to principals from the schools affected and parents who attended the scene.
Some children have gone on to school with the principals with others returning home with their parents.

The 56-year-old bus driver was taken to Bundaberg Hospital with minor injuries for a thorough assessment.
“It was quite an impact, so in those sorts of circumstances we like to make sure that we give patients a proper check over and stuff like that - there’s a lot of things that can hide themselves including respiratory and cardiac contusions from seatbelt injuries,” QAS Wide Bay senior operations supervisor Martin Kelly said.
The 22-year-old tractor driver was taken to Childers Hospital by a member of the public where he received treatment for a minor arm injury.
A QAS spokesperson said that the injury hampered his ability to drive a vehicle.
A Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service spokesperson confirmed that both men have been charged from Bundaberg and Childers Hospitals.
Mr Kelly said that the cause of the incident seemed to be related to location of the crash being on a narrow road over the crest of a hill, but that QPS would be doing a full investigation.

After making the incident a top priority, QAS backed out resources after determining that there are no significant injuries and the children are all in a stable condition.
“We’ve thrown quite a number of resources at it, and as we’ve done our assessment we’ve backed off on some of those resources - and the kids luckily are all quite good” Mr Kelly said.
