Punters get back on track

BRISBANE racing fans make the trip to Clifford Park to get track side as Toowoomba Turf Club welcome patrons back to the course.

BRISBANE horse racing lover Kelly Golinski was thrilled to be back at a racecourse on Saturday.

Ms Golinski and her partner Craig Sharpe made the trip to Clifford Park after receiving an email from the turf club inviting punters back after the coronavirus shutdown took racing across the state behind closed doors.

With Brisbane tracks closed to the general public the couple booked accommodation across the road from Clifford Park for a weekend away.

Ms Golinski has missed the excitement of racing.

"Hearing them come across, to the finish line, the hooves … and winning hopefully," she said with a smile.
