OAKEY police are looking for the driver of a Nissan Navara they allege is responsible for a traffic crash.

Senior Constable Dave Holgate alleged a 30-year-old Oakey man was run off the Jondaryan Nungil Rd, about 6pm yesterday.

"The man was travelling towards Jondaryan when an approaching vehicle veered towards him, for whatever reason," he said.

The Oakey man, travelling in a Holden Colorado, swerved to avoid the on-coming vehicle, believed to be a Nissan Navara.

"He took some evasive action but lost some control, tried to regain control be he has come off the road, onto loose gravel then shot across the other side," Const Holgate said.

The Oakey man rolled his vehicle and suffered a head injury.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics transported the man to the Toowoomba Hospital.

The crash occurred about 1km from the intersection with Jondaryan Muldu Road.

The identity of the second motorist is unknown and police would like them to come forward to assist with the crash investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have dashcam footage identifying the second driver should phone Policelink on 131 444.
