Police continue to investigate disappearance of NT mum Angie Fuller in Alice Springs

Two months on and questions remain about the disappearance of a Darwin mum, who is suspected to have been killed in the Central Australian desert. Read the latest in the investigation.

Police hope somewhere in the 400sq km of desert shrub land and rolling red dirt there is a clue to finding a Darwin mum who vanished from the side of the highway.

Angie Fuller has been missing for more than two months but her smiling face still appears in the windows of Alice Springs storefronts.

Ms Fuller was last seen pulling up at a truck stop north of Alice Springs, as dusk began to settle on the Central Australian desert at 6.40pm on Monday, January 9.

Twelve hours later her red Toyota Corolla was discovered abandoned on Tanami Rd — with no sign of the Darwin mum.

The missing persons poster for Angie Fuller, is believed to be the last photo taken of her.

It took more than 48 hours for her disappearance to be reported to police.

Fifteen days after her disappearance, NT Police Assistant Commissioner Michael White confirmed the case was being treated as a homicide investigation.

In January, Mr White said they suspected a person or “third party intervention” and said Ms Fuller disappeared after a two-vehicle incident on Tanami Rd.

He said a man known to Ms Fuller was a person of interest in the investigation, saying they were “together prior to her disappearance” at the truck stop.

Two months after she vanished off the highway, police have yet to announce any arrests or any major updates.

“The matter is an ongoing investigation undertaken by the Crime Command, and at this stage, no further information is to be released,” a spokeswoman said.

Days after her disappearance a man claiming to be her boyfriend posted bizarre videos saying the pair was chased through the bush and shot at by a “gang”.

The Alice Springs man claimed he and his girlfriend fled into bushland and were separated, while dodging bullets.

As police continue to search for answers, so too do Ms Fuller’s heartbroken loved ones hoping against odds they can #BringAngieHome.

Police and family continued to urge anyone with information on Ms Fuller’s whereabouts to contact police or via Crime Stoppers, quoting the reference number 10228143.

Ms Fuller was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and a beige skirt and is described as a woman of Asian appearance, about 165cm tall, with a medium build, long black hair and purple streaks.
