A man trapped in a vehicle after it plunged 15m down into an embankment, has been rescued by emergency services.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was travelling east in the Lockyer Valley, when the car left the road and fell.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the incident just after 9.30pm on Saturday.
Crews from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service set up a safety line leading to the embankment.
This allowed paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service, as well as the critical care doctor and flight paramedic from LifeFlight to access and treat the patient at the scene of the crash.
The man who is aged in his 20s, was then carefully transferred up the embankment and into the helicopter.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
