OUR SAY: There is much to admire about the Wagners' ethos.

The company and its people are innovative, hard-working, focused and refuse to let obstacles of any kind stand in their way.

That was how Toowoomba came to be the fortunate recipient of a fantastic new airport that is now connecting us to the world.

It was their can-do attitude that built Australia's first greenfields airport in 45 years - all in 19 months.

Now they are putting their business smarts into another big project at their Pinkenba complex.

They are on track for a mid-year build completion on its world-first fibre reinforced polymer wharf on the Brisbane River.

Using 3300 tonnes of steel to complete the sub-structure fabricated at its Toowoomba site, the wharf and jetty components are constructed entirely of Wagners' Composite Fibre Technologies and Earth Friendly Concrete.

Wagners CEO Cameron Coleman has praised the Toowoomba tradies involved in the project.

It's another fine example of Toowoomba - and Wagners - leading the way.
