Toowoomba region growing at great rate

OUR stories from this week have provided a sense of scale when it comes to understanding how much Toowoomba and the surrounding region is growing.

OUR stories from this week have provided a sense of scale when it comes to understanding how much Toowoomba and the surrounding region is growing.

I've only been here a short time, but it is brilliant to see all of the proposed and upcoming developments across the Garden City.

Just take a few of the stories The Chronicle has reported on this week.

The progress and changes in Toowoomba can be seen in the movement of our cafes, like Sugar Maples' recent shift from the Toowoomba CBD to Highfields.

It can also be seen in the proposals we have reported on recently, including the proposed tyre recycling factory at the Wellcamp Business Park.

It's also visible in the City Golf Club Cycleway, a $1.13m project that was officially opened this week.

We also had news this week of progress on the The Mills Precinct, with a new tenant moving into the development.

There has been news surrounding all of these projects from just the first four days of this week.

And I'm sure in the coming days, The Chronicle will continue to share news of more developments in the pipeline.

I'm looking forward to seeing how our region grows in the years to come.
