TODAY hundreds of students from across the Darling Downs will experience what university life is like, and get a taste of what they might like to study once they leave the high school grounds.
Giving uni a test run is extremely beneficial when it comes to the end of your secondary education.
Making massive life decisions when you are in your final years of schooling can be a tough and daunting process.
It is made even more difficult when you're assuming what a certain field would be like to study.
Of course, no one is locked in to what uni degree they study, if that is what they decide to do upon graduation.
But giving these young students a glimpse into what some of these courses involve is a great step in helping guide them on their career path.
And if it convinces some people to stay or move to Toowoomba from one of the smaller sites in our region, it also will have great flow-on effects.
So good luck to the more than 400 students heading to the University of Southern Queensland today.
Hopefully you find out more about a field you plan on pursuing, and take those first steps on your career path.
