COVID-19 could not stop our Carnival of Flowers
NOTHING could ever take away the tradition of what the Carnival of Flowers means to the city of Toowoomba and the region.

From the beginning of September, our parks have welcomed visitors from all over the state and they are still arriving.
What a wonderful and special 2020 COF. The city was a buzz with a carnival atmosphere and the visitors just loved what they were experiencing … and this year it was the gardens.
Thanks to our wonderful gardeners who normally would be open for The Chronicle Garden Competition – a year they will always remember, that the visitors on most occasions viewed their gardens over the fence or from the street.
Their efforts, as always, are applauded and thanks for keeping the spirit alive.
The many teams of gardeners from Toowoomba Region Council offered visitors some of the most colourful and creative displays – how great was it!
Business in the city is celebrating – motels, cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs, fuel outlets, farmers markets and so many more welcomed the occasion to see the boost to the economy of this carnival event also.
Our region was open to visitors, they accepted the invitation and gave our community a carnival to remember.
