Covid Toowoomba: Resident’s concern over variant ahead of celebrations

A Toowoomba resident has written to The Chronicle with concerns over the delta variant heading to the Garden City as Carnival of Flowers begins.

Doctor uninvited from best friend's wedding because she works in Covid ward

The Delta Covid is on the way to Toowoomba, thanks to Scomo and Gladys.

Are the people of Toowoomba worried?

I made the mistake of going to the Grand Central shopping centre on Saturday morning, the car park was full, crowds in the shopping centre, packed escalators’ hardly a mask in sight, and no social distancing.

Then we have the Carnival of Flowers for a whole month, with thousands of visitors traipsing around private gardens.

If you think we can keep Delta Covid out of Toowoomba, you are living in La La Land, No country on earth has done it.

The only safe bet is to book your room at the Wellcamp Quarantine Hub.
