As we face down the end of the financial year, I thought I would take this opportunity to thank all our members for their support during the last twelve months.
You (our members) play a critical role in the financial health and our long-term sustainability of your Chamber.
Why? Because the Chamber receives no direct government funding.
I acknowledge, am grateful and thank you for your support.
This is because your support makes us a truly independent organisation allowing us to put your interests first.
It also enables us to stand up for business in Toowoomba, whether you are OMG Decadent Donuts Darling Downs or Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, at a local, state, and federal, without fear or favour to ensure our community has a voice.
Last finance year, I hope you got to engage in our full program of member events that are created to provide a platform to strengthen your existing member networks, develop new contacts, develop your skills, and connect with other businesses and business leaders to maximise growth opportunities for your business.
And a special thanks to those members who were involved in our advisory groups.
Your input and knowledge enabled the Toowoomba Chamber to contribute to the delivery key strategic projects like the Local Food Directory, CBD revitalisation priorities, the jobs task-force, and future leaders mentor program.
The members of these advisory groups ensure the voice of business is heard while helping to shape the future direction of our local business community and the city of Toowoomba.
This year, we reviewed membership benefits.
The review looked at new opportunities, ways to increase the value of membership and how can we be more transparent to allow us to be more accountable to our members.
