CONNECTING clients to their dream homes is the success driver for a mother and daughter duo who recently celebrated their first year in business.

Joanne and Isabel Rowe are the faces behind The Rowe Team Agency – a young yet thriving real estate business with listings from across the Toowoomba region.

Living in Westbrook and working in the industry for more than a decade, Joanne decided to take the plunge and started the venture 12 months ago, with the help of her daughter Isabel.

“In 2017 I had a significant health scare, and I took a step back from real estate to have a number of surgeries after a serious back injury,” Joanne said.

“I thought my career was going to come to an end as a result of the injury, and that’s a big reason I decided to go out on my own because you just don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.”

Now in a better place with her health and looking forward to what the future holds, the business owner said the past year had been full of exciting developments.

While the growth had been gradual, word of mouth and client retention saw the small family business expand its sales listings as well as take on rental property portfolios too.

“When I first opened the business, Isabel and I were working from home, but we outgrew it quite quickly so we needed to explore other options and found this shop space was available,” Joanne said.

“The support from clients and the public has been great, and I want to give back to the community.

“For us our service means more than numbers, and it’s really important to us to deliver a really special experience and that our clients connect with their home.”

The mother and daughter team said they had enjoyed working together and combining their skills.

Later this month the pair plans to have a joint party to celebrate the business’s first anniversary as well as Joanne’s 50th birthday.

The Rowe Team Agency is at 96 Main St, Westbrook.
