NTFL 2024-25 live stream: Watch Wanderers vs Nightcliff Tigers women in Round 11

The Tigers took no prisoners, booting 25 goals against a helpless Wanderers, to head into the Christmas break on a high. Watch the REPLAY.

The Nightcliff women were merciless as they put their foot on the gas in a 15-goal second half to grab a huge percentage booster against Wanderers.

The Muk Muks have yet to win again and weren’t coming in with their sights on victory, but they turned up against the second-placed outfit still intent on getting the small wins around the ground.

The Tigers however came with the idea of going into Christmas break with a huge percentage boosting victory and got just that in a 25.14 (164) to 1.0 (6) massacre.

There were multiple goal scorers across the Nightcliff list including midfielder Gabrielle Deller who constantly put herself in the right positions.

Lucy Northcott and Cassie McWilliam were others to keep the pressure up on the scoreboard and multiple goals of their own.

Sophie Hatzismalis was another key instigator with her run and carry pushing the ball forward and ensuring her side kept going for points even when the win was long since won.

Wanderers had their moments to be proud of with Jasmin Fejo and Alinta Fejo among their busiest players and they kept the scoreboard somewhat respectable early.

But the game blew out in the second half as Tigers found themselves against tired legs and kicks on goal kept coming.

The Nightcliff Tigers women know they can go into the New Year having shored up a top three spot, while Wanderers will be targeting the little wins.

Nightcliff remain in the top two and are actually leading PINT on percentage, a stat they can further with a big win against the struggling Wanderers.

Gabrielle Deller leads the league for most appearances in the best players and it’s for good reason, with the midfielder having a hand in most things the Tigers do right.

They’ve also got plenty of scoring options including Cassie McWilliam, Mickayla Ward and Lucy Northcott who will all be wanting some more.

For Wanderers they’ve had their struggles for results but continue to show up each week and show positive growth around their inexperienced group.

Kerri-Ann McLean kicked a goal for the group against last year’s grand finalists St Mary’s last round, and if they can keep growing in confidence against the Tigers it will be another string to the bow.
