The Bulldogs have been put on the shortlist for a Las Vegas season opener in 2026, and now they have the support of a club legend, who thinks the Canterbury-Bankstown fan base would be perfect for the extravaganza.
Josh Reynolds, who played 145 games for the Belmore based team said despite no formal announcement, his former club’s fans would fill at least half of Allegiant stadium with just Bulldogs supporters.
“I assure you, if announced, they could fill up half of that stadium with just Bulldogs fans straight away, and that’s not including other teams or Americans that go,” Reynolds said.
“It’s a club which if they did get a chance to go, you could pretty much guarantee America and the world will say wow they’re fan base is the most passionate in the game.”
Missing out on this year’s overseas round one clash, Reynolds will be attending a live site at Bankstown Sports Club, which he believes is the next best thing for punters not at the game.
The former Blues five-eighth will be one of many NRL players and legends watching games with fans around the state, with over 20 special guests expected at Clubs NSW’s venues.
Paramatta Eels new recruit Josh Addo-Carr will be watching from Mounties, former Sharks enforcer Dale Finucane at Sharks Kareela, while Knights hooker Phoenix Crossland spending time with fans at Cessnock Leagues.
“Its going to be a great atmosphere, packed, heaps of food, it’s the second best thing than actually going to the game,” Reynolds said.
