Australian nurses who told Israeli they would ‘kill’ patients have made news worldwide

The horrifying footage shared by an Israeli content creator – in which two Sydney nurses shared their violent and ‘evil’ anti-Israel views – has been reported worldwide.

Nurse claims anti-Semitic video is 'joke'

Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh’s anti-Israel conversation with content creator Max Veifer was covered extensively by the world’s media.

Since news broke on Wednesday the issue made waves across the globe and stories were published by Reuters, Washington Post, The Independent (UK), BBC, Times of India, Jerusalem Post, Times of Israel, Barron’s, The Times (UK), The Telegraph (UK), Stuff.co.uk, The Sun (UK), Ynet (Israel), Daily Mail (UK), the New York Post and GB News (UK).

Mr Veifer conducted interviews with Israeli publications and news broadcasters to discuss his conversation with the nurses, who were swiftly fired from NSW Health following his disclosure.

Sharing one interview with Israel’s Channel 13 to his social media accounts, Mr Veifer called for further support for Israel, saying: “Together we are the strongest.”

Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel commented on the incident on X, praising NSW Premier Chris Minns for his ‘swift and decisive action’ and thanked Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his statement condemning the nurses’ views.

Haskel met with Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus in Jerusalem last month where she criticised the Albanese government for its “campaign against Israel” and “ineffectual response” to anti-Semitism.

“I expressed my expectation and hope that Australia’s policy towards Israel will return to reflecting our longstanding relations based on shared values and interests,” she said.
