AREAS across Toowoomba have received more than 100mm of rain today, as floodwater inundates roads across the city.

The Chronicle readers reported significant water over the road at the corner of McDougall and South Streets, as 140mm reportedly fell at Kingsthorpe and Oakey today.

Races at Clifford Park Racecourse were cancelled this afternoon after torrential rain fell across the grounds.
