A MAN, 30, has been seriously injured after a crash this afternoon near roadworks on the Warrego Highway at Jondaryan.
Emergency services were notified of the crash shortly after 2.20pm.
It is understood the man was the driver of a vehicle that crashed into the rear of an unloaded gravel truck.
Queensland Fire and Rescue personnel worked for about an hour to remove the man from the vehicle.
The man's injuries were severe and included two broken lower legs, a fractured upper leg, facial injuries, internal abdominal injuries and a contusion on his left lung.
He was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious condition.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
