TOOWOOMBA Regional Council will be undertaking important upgrade works to the western trunk water main next week.
This major water main is the primary source of water to the Toowoomba - Oakey water main which feeds a number of townships between Toowoomba and Oakey, as well as Hermitage Rd areas.
The works should take about two days, starting Tuesday next week with water supply to be restored on Thursday.
During the period of the works, council will take every possible action to provide a reliable water supply to affected areas which include: Oakey, Jondaryan, Gowrie Mountain, Gowrie Junction, Meringandan, Goombungee, Kingsthorpe and the Hermitage Road/Bedford St areas.
However, residents and business owners are advised that during these two days they may experience periods of reduced pressure/supply.
Council thanks residents for their understanding during these planned upgrade works.
