Abbie Chatfield took to Instagram on Monday to reveal her shock, posting a screenshot of herself on a FaceTime call, along with friends Mitch Greer and Rowdie Walden, reacting to the news before Ebbs publicly confirmed the split on Saturday.

Chatfield captioned the post, “You think you’re shocked? IMAGINE HOW WE FEEL!”

It comes after Ebbs’ nearest and dearest were spotted by Confidential socialising with Siwa, including a dinner at Totti’s in December.

Greer commented on the post, “No words. Just jaws on the floor.”

Other users were also quick to defend Ebbs.

“Justice for Kath!!!” wrote one Instagram user.

“Kath literally made me actually like Jojo for once and this is what Jojo does to them,” wrote another.

“I’ve been waiting to hear your opinion on this,” said another commenter, with Chatfield responding, “I’ve been livid for weeks”.

Chatfield later defended her friend in a TikTok video, responding to criticism over Ebbs’ handling of the situation.

“JoJo made it public, not Kath,” Chatfield said.

“For anyone saying Kath is so immature for coming to social media and posting that video no wonder they were dumped. You were all aware of it.

“JoJo was the one in that house with all the cameras on, that is not Kath’s fault.”

Chatfield also dismissed rumours of a PR stunt relationship, stating that they are rare and that Ebbs was genuinely hurt.

The influencer explained that the pain for Ebbs was exacerbated by the public nature of the break-up, with fans hounding them.

Ebbs confirmed the brutal break-up in an emotional Instagram video, revealing they were still in shock after Siwa ended things abruptly at the Celebrity Big Brother UK afterparty.

The split followed Siwa’s flirtatious behaviour with Chris Hughes, leading to speculation about their relationship.

Ebbs described the situation as “emotional cheating” and crossing boundaries. The break-up also came just days after Siwa who previously labelled herself as a lesbian publicly came out as “queer” on Big Brother.
