Ingham Police has confirmed that an investigation is still underway following a major house fire over the weekend.
“Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a fire that caused major structural damage to a residence in Palm Avenue in Ingham on Saturday evening, Senior Sergeant Geoff Bormann said on Tuesday.
The officer in charge of Ingham Police said neighbouring residents alerted emergency services to the blaze at 6.55pm.
He said Queensland Fire Department crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
“Queensland Police maintained a crime-scene guard overnight and the house was examined by police scientific officers the next day.”
The high-set home has suffered serious fire, smoke and water damage.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed it had responded to the incident but there were no reported injuries.
