CHRISTMAS has officially arrived in Toowoomba with festivities spilling onto the streets last night.
Christmas in the CBD lit up the city as a cast led by Santa and Mrs Claus walked through the streets bringing festive cheer to all those they passed.
There were Christmas carols being sung, markets with plenty of stocking fillers, live entertainment and the lighting of City Hall and Grand Central's 35ft tree.
The Toowoomba Regional Council and Grand Central worked together to bring the family fun event to life.
It started at 6pm at City Hall and once the building was glittering with lights the parade made its way down Ruthven St, before turning into Margaret St and ending at Grand Central's Central Square about 8pm.
Grand Central marketing manager Marieke Bridgeman said Christmas was one of her favourite seasons at the shopping centre.
"We love sharing the joy of Christmas with our customers," she said. .
"The 35ft tree is pride of place in Grand Central's outdoor community space, Central Square."
