TOOWOOMBA Regional Council is seeking input on the short, medium and long-term future of Toowoomba Aerodrome.
Infrastructure committee chair Cr Carol Taylor said Toowoomba Aerodrome would continue to be a vital facility and an important link in the region's transport network even after the introduction later this year of the new Wellcamp airport.
"The master plan recognises the importance of supporting existing charter operators, emergency services - including The Royal Flying Doctor Service and CareFlight - civil aviation and aviation support services that use Toowoomba Aerodrome now and into the future," Cr Taylor said.
The final draft was compiled from two council workshops in August and November last year, and a session this month, in addition to input from the Toowoomba Aerodrome Advisory Committee, she said.

Public feedback on the final draft would be sought next month before council considered the final master plan.
"Council plans to complete a $700,000 expansion of the aerodrome apron by April," Cr Taylor said.
Copies of the draft master plan will be available from early next month for viewing at the council's customer service centre at 4Little St, Toowoomba, or at toowoombaRC.qld.gov.au/haveyoursay
Details on how to comment on the draft master plan will be released soon. For further details contact 131872.
