In a twist of fate that embodies a modern fairytale, Gold Coast police are on the hunt for a lucky lover who has lost their Cartier Love bracelet.
The luxury item has become synonymous with wealthy customers, including many Hollywood celebrities, as something that symbolises love and devotion.
Not for the faint-hearted, it comes with a fastening system with two functional screws and a screwdriver to lock the bracelet onto the wearer’s arm – symbolic to love locked in and secured in place.
The luxury white gold piece, which retails for around $10,000, was found in its original packaging on the Gold Coast.
Cartier have confirmed the item was bought from their Brisbane store.
In a real Cinderella glass slipper moment the packaging contained a card with a personalised message – with Gold Coast police withholding its context in order to determine the rightful owner.
Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate the city’s own Cinderella.
