Police have launched a major investigation after a 24-year-old man was found in a serious condition with multiple stab wounds at Varsity Lakes.
A member of the public called paramedics and police to the scene on Grevillea St, near Frascott Ave at about 8.15pm on Wednesday after finding the Parkwood man with several serious injuries.
Paramedics rushed the man to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said officers were not able to find any other people who may have been involved in the incident at the scene. They urged anyone with information to come forward.
Plain clothes detectives remained near the scene late on Thursday morning. They were seen door knocking homes and speaking with residents.
